Overview

Ormi.xyz is a blockchain data platform that allows developers and analysts to easily access, deploy, and manage blockchain data across multiple chains. Historically, accessing crypto data has been fragmented and highly technical, with existing solutions requiring deep engineering knowledge, costly infrastructure, or complex onboarding processes. Traditional alternatives often have confusing interfaces and steep learning curves that slow down developers. Ormi.xyz started with a mission to make blockchain data access intuitive, scalable, and accessible to a broader range of teams

Problem Statement

Developers need an intuitive way to deploy and manage blockchain data without getting blocked by complex and hard-to-use interfaces.

My Role

As a founding product designer, I was responsible for driving the design strategy and crafting the user experience across web and mobile interfaces. Additionally, I built the brand identity to align with Ormi's vision of a cleaner, developer-first ecosystem.

User Research

  1. Interviews: Conducted with 15 developers from various backgrounds.

      • New users found the initial setup process complex and time-consuming.

Analyzed documentation and onboarding flows of similar platforms like The Graph and Infura. These platforms featured intuitive guides, interactive tutorials, and comprehensive API references, which were areas identified for improvement in Ormi Labs' offerings.

Design Process

Ideation

Based on research insights, the team brainstormed enhancements:

  • Develop a step-by-step onboarding wizard for new users.
  • Revamp documentation with clear navigation and search functionality.
